An Adventurous Break

Hey, adventurers! I wanted to pop by very quickly today to say that I am going to be taking some time off from the blogging scene.

I don’t want to go into some huge, overly expansive explanation of why I’m taking a break, so I’ll keep it simple. There’s a lot going on right now in my professional life, house-hunting is getting more time-consuming, and the last couple of times I have tried to write posts, I ended up trashing everything I started. I know myself well enough to know the warning signs of me reaching burnout, so I’m going to take some time to focus on the other things going on in my life. Once I’ve regrouped, I’ll return with a renewed vigor, and I’ll try to return with something fun and cool.

In the meantime, I’ll still be participating in Question of the Month (as I had already prepared that post for last week), so it’ll go up this Wednesday. Additionally, a writing break doesn’t have to be a reading break, so I’ll do my best to continue to be present on Twitter and in the comment sections of other blogs. My plan is to break for a week, but we’ll see how things go. Up to this point, the new job and the move weren’t affecting things too much but I’m reaching a place where I might need to lower my post count or something for a bit until things calm down. We’ll play it by ear.

I know my readers are awesome folks who totally understand what it’s like to juggle blogging and real-life responsibilities, so I appreciate your patience and understanding.

  1. It’s good to hear you found the crack in the wall before it expanded. Take the time you need, but know that Gaming Gripes is always open if you want to join in on it.

I look forward to reading your articles once you come back again. Godspeed my friend, Stay Cozy and good huntin’! 🙂

  2. That is a lot of stuff going on for you right now! All the best. I’ve been in that writing place many times, and a break can do wonders. I’m looking forward to reading more of your stuff when you get back into blogging again 🙂
