Approximate Monthiversary!

Today is October 1st, and you know what that means? Since Adventure Rules started on August 31st (and there is no September 31st to speak of), today is the monthiversary of the blog!

“Monthiversary? You’re that guy? Really?” I say it ironically, readers, no need to get snippy.

All joking aside, I just want to take this post to say a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read Adventure Rules, whether you’ve read every post or this is the first time you’ve ever seen this page. Your likes, comments, support, all of it helps me keep writing.

See, as a writer, I have this teensy problem where I have SO many projects and ideas I want to work on that I never actually make progress on any of them. I’m always jumping around from thing to thing and when it comes right down to it, I do more thinking about writing than actual writing. But thanks to you, readers, I now have a website complete with an entire month of stuff I have written.

Did I write every single day? Nah. But I’ve written consistently for a whole month. And that’s an impressive feat for me.

I’m not planning on slowing down, either. I have plenty of new segment ideas, none of which I am going to mention right now because I may decide some of them are dumb and not use them. You can expect plenty of Halloween-related nonsense in the month of October, though, so be excited!

And of course there’s the beginning of Fanfic Friday. I am so stoked for that, and I hope that you all are too. I have a really fun story planned for this month – if you missed the hint last Friday, well…I guess you’re not the very best. But that’s okay. I like you anyway!

So say you’re here because of Multiplayer Week, and you’ve never read Adventure Rules before. This is an amazing opportunity to start following the blog. I post (or rather, the computer posts for me) at 9:00 AM eastern time Monday through Friday. I talk about video games, I tell jokes of varying quality, and it’s a ton of fun. You should stick around, because I think you’ll like what you read.

For those of you here since the beginning, I can’t say it enough – thank you.

Here’s to many more months of Adventure Rules!
